HI PRINCESSES! 

As some of you know I've been on a "JOURNEY TO TRUE LOVE" for the last 10 days and was planning to do it for a total of 30 days - which may now be 60 because my eyes are opening to so much. I cant wait to share with you all that has taken place! 

I was truly blessed by a Princess named Lisa Gore this morning during the Mind Body & Soul Prayer Altar call.

HELLO PRINCESSES!

Its not easy being a mom. Trying to balance everything else without losing touch of who your child is and who they are growing up to be. 

Many parents feel they know exactly who their child is. As a mom of a pre-teen I am realizing that there is a moment where you start to see them shift as they adapt to new surroundings (middle school, high school, teams and groups). Then you start to hear them say things you would NEVER in a million years expect to hear them say. You find yourself having to pull closer to their close friends because you want to stay in the loop of what's going on. Their hormones are raging. Some days they are mad at the world. You fall to your knees and ask GOD to please return your REAL child to you and take away this Alien cocoon that is sleeping in your kids bed. LOL. You ask yourself: "Was I ever like this growing up?". Most times we lie to ourselves and say we weren't, but for me I can clearly remember the exact time in my childhood when I went through what my son is going through right now. Those years were terrible!

Some days i ask myself: "Am I putting him under too much pressure? 2 sports, training camps, learning programs, regular school, chores, plus expecting him to get enough rest and function". But then i say to myself: "It can be done!". 

I truly love my son with all my heart and soul. And one of the quotes i have come to love is that your "Your Children will either hate you now or hate you later". They will either say "ohh mom you are stressing me too much, i'm just a kid, let me have fun!" OR in 20 years they will say "Ohh Mom, you messed up my life. You didnt push me enough. I could have been so much more than what i am right now". Well for me I would prefer for my son to be a little annoyed with me right now than completely filled with rage & regret towards me during his adulthood. 

Today I am just asking GOD to give me the strength to continue to be the best mom I can be. To give me the strength to be a tower of fortitude for other Moms who reach out to me for support. To give me the wisdom and discernment to continue to see the glass as half full. Knowing that all this crazy hoopla is nothing more than ... "The Teenage Years!"

HELLO PRINCESSES, 

The Bible tells us that love is patient, love is kind, it keeps no record, etc. 

What is true love? I asked myself today.. where in my life is the presence of true, unadulterated, love. 
When I look at my son I know that he will one day grow up and meet a wonderful woman and start a family of his own. While I expect to play a large role in his family life, I don't know if that will really be the case. 
There are so many questions about this thing we call love and our search for it. Our desire to have it. A woman's innate desire to be told 'it'. To discern when the real thing has come along or just a 'canal street' counterfeit (NYC reference). 
I am committing myself to a 30-day journey to identify all the love around me. To be aware and present to the goodness that GOD has placed around me. To be a human light-post for love shining on those who I come into contact with. I invite you to take this journey with me. Take a 30-day moment, take notice and let me know what you discover.

DAY #3 
“5-STEPS to Living the Life YOU Love Series:

CALL TO ACTION ASSIGNMENT #3

·      Create a diagram on paper using your self as the nucleus (center). List all of the different groups that you belong to in life from day to day. Work, Friends, Family, Church Neighborhood, School, Your child’s networks of: school, extra curricular/sports, and any other groups that you belong to.

·      Create a 2nd Diagram with you at the nucleus. Surround yourself with the 3 required groups given in todays call. See which members of your 1st diagram can be shifted into the 2nd WINNERS CIRCLE Diagram. Really examine why you feel this person would be effective in diagram 2.

·      Now look at where most of your time and energy goes. Is it going to the people who are in diagram #1 or diagram #2. This will give you a clear idea of why your goals are or aren’t coming to fruition or why they are taking entirely too long.

·      Now start to think about what new key players you would like to have In Diagram #2. Make a wish list on the side of the diagram.  Research contact information and upcoming events that will get you in the presence of those key people. Do everything in your power to create those necessary relationships.

·      Make a copy of Diagram #2. Keep a copy with you at all times and post the other copy on your wall. Someplace where ouWatch your productivity grow!

How much are you willing to invest in your future. Are you willing to invest Time? Money? Sweat? Brain Power? Sacrifice? Vulnerability? Betrayal? Love?

These are all examples of things that we put on the line or run the risk experiencing when we are on the path to greatness and have chosen to invest in our future. 

But some people want "Some-Thing" for "NO-Thing". 

That is NOT an equal exchange of goods & services. One of my favorite books says: "let every man give to his fellow man in services equal or greater value than what he has received in payment". This is the true measure of success. Not only what we have accomplished in our own lives but what another human being will proudly say we have contributed to their life. 

Invest in your future by choosing to invest in others. 

I pray for you, You pray for me. I love you...... I need you to survive.... (I love that hymn)
TODAYS THOUGHTS: Any Dream you can accomplish alone is way tooo SMALL!!! Enlist the help of others. Embrace being vulnerable and ask for help! GOD says before honor comes humility. DREAM BIG - GO HARD - BUILD A WINNING TEAM!
